a poem entitled I'm leaving now.
i'm leaving now. i'm sorry i couldn't say goodbye.
i'm leaving now, with a heavy heart, with pen and paper in pocket
passport in the other. an inquisitive mind unfulfilled, a small, red camera bag,
filled to the brim with clothes. a passport, some coins, my tongue, and a watch.
one pair of jeans unwashed for two years,
and a white tee shirt seasoned with the sweat and stains.
black socks. black shoes. black hair.
and a wad of paper money tied by an elastic.
most importantly, my mind, my wit, my grit.
i'm leaving now. i'm sorry i couldn't say goodbye.
experimental writing. poetry. missions, goals, and plans.
